Work No. 622; Blackout Blinds
c. 2012 Michael St.Mark Crouch End, London N.12
Perhaps a new meaning to the term ‘News Blackout’…a Dada social commentary work on personal outlooks being coloured (blinded) by experiencing the world through mainstream media-tinted glasses – daily news consumption from biased and agenda-ridden sources. The masses becoming ever-more opaque to alternative views and fixed in opinion the more the attention-grabbing rambunctious tabloid headline holds sway.
( An antidote in the form of the internet and social media where a more or less full choice of alternative informed opinion and news sources are available from which to base an holistic view of world events. )
