Work 639; Spires of Aspiration c. Michael St.Mark.
context
_____________________________________________________________________________________
Captured in one image, spires from markedly different eras, yet each symbolising mankind’s eternal inner aspirations by pointing towards the sky – one the religious the other the material. Yet both aiming at securing individual happiness (in this world or the next).
Additional observational image context in terms of the road to the church ( ergo access) being freely and openly available to the public, whereas both road signage and aggressive security fencing below the big material spire suggesting ( correctly ) access barred to all but a material (financial) elite.
